As of last Sunday more than 125 families from Chicago registered. By next weekend it will go up to 200 families from Chicago. Work together and stay together we should have between 5000 to 6000 attendees for the convention. Most of the people can drive to Chicago except people from west coast and Florida. I don't think there will be much setbacks for the convention.

ReplyDeleteWhy bishops are boycotting the convention. KCCNA president already said in his speech at he knanya night the invitations for our bishops are ready and he is going to invite them. What happened to that. In Orlando convention our bishops did not come because there was short of money and KCCNA executive offered them only regular plane tickets instead of first class. If the bishops insist for the first class tickets KCCNA should try to meet that demands. The bishops travel only on first class. Don't make an issue because of the ticket. I think Tomy can find some sponsors for that..
ReplyDeleteIf our Bishops continue to travel in First class only, they may be suspended from Rome. So let them live in Kottayam to look after the local folks as instructed by Pope Francis. Kottayam Bishops do not have any power in US. KCCNA convention is for laities not for Bishops. So we will be happy to register if KCCNA do not spend extra money for these power hungers who pretends to be unaware of the public pulse towards them.

DeleteAfter reading this article I have decided to go for the convention.It is not because I like the convention or KCCNA. I never attended the convention and Believe it will notprovide great enthuisam for me.It is just because blogger is creating great confusion among the community.He is always propogating commerilized faith and what do you thnk Bishops and priest? After all they are ordinary human beings.Having entered in occassions doesnot uplift personality especially when they are cornered by crooks.Money and Power spoils personality. This could be seen behaviour of Bishops,priests,nuns and community leaders.Think simple and act like an ordinary human beings..Last time they conducted without Bishops and it is very popular our Bishops travels only in Business class.If KCCNA avoids Bishops and other leaders only to reduce the cost, it is most welcome.

DeleteWe have many churches here to attend English and Malayalam Masses. Not SANKARA PALLI. our ancesters were attending Mass even before the Kottayam Diocese. Latin church is better than SANKARA PALLI. There is lot of churches in America, SANKARA, Latin, SYRO, etc... Why lot of malayalees including Knananites married Blacks, Methan, mexican etc,,,Still their parents attending Mass in SANKARA and other churches. We will decide what we want church , temple, mosque.. what ever.
