3. ഇന്ന് വരെ നമ്മുടെ പള്ളികളിലെ അംഗത്വം സംബന്ധിച്ച് വെറും അലിഖിത നിയമങ്ങള മാത്രം ഉള്ളതിനെ രേഖാമൂലം ആക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതു ചിക്കാഗോ സംരക്ഷണസമിതി യുടെ നേട്ടം ആണ്.
4. ആലപ്പാട്ട് അച്ഛനെ ബിഷപ്പ് ആക്കിയപ്പോൾ ഹൃദയം തകര്ന്ന മുത്ത് St മേരീസ് പള്ളിയിൽ നിന്നും പറഞ്ഞു വിട്ട പ്രഞ്ചികളുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മ ആയ പള്ളികാരെ അങ്ങാടി തെറി പറഞ്ഞു ഓടിച്ചത്, ചമ്മൽ കാരണം അവരോ മുതുവോ പുറത്തു പറഞ്ഞില്ല

10. ഇവിടെയാണ് KCCNA കാർ ഏറ്റവും വല്ല്യ മണ്ടത്തരം ചെയ്തത്.
സംരക്ഷണ സമിതിക്കിട്ടു പണി കൊടുക്കാം, എന്ന് കരുതി അവർ "Maywood പള്ളികാർ വ്യക്തം ആകുന്നു". 12. സമരത്തിന് പെര്മിറ്റ് എടുത്ത മൂന്നു പേരും പോലീസിൽ പോയി തങ്ങളുടെ പെര്മിറ്റ് ക്യാൻസൽ ചെയ്തു. പിന്നെ ഇവര എവിടെ സമരം ഇരിക്കും

DeleteIn my opinion nobody is a looser. KCCNA won with out doing the hunger strike. They were able to give that pressure till last minute. Mar Alencheri, Mar Angadiath and Mar Moolakadan realized our feelings and they will try to do whatever they can to help our community. By calling off the hunger strike Methrabhishekam went smoothly without any disturbance. KCCNA did the right thing by giving plenty of pressure to Syromalabar. Don't blame Tomy and Anto. At the last minute they did the right thing for our community. If we stay together and do the right thing we can get everything what we want.

And finally Maykkara called Mar Moolakat and begged and up on realizing the pathetic situation he is in Mar Moolakattu gave him an audience. Poor Maykara and Kandoth would have been in Bellwood jail if not for our Bishop and our VG.

We have got several information from EC members and some people in Chicago. Piecing together all, this is what happened.
KCCNA president Tomy came to Chicago with the good intention of having the strike. He brought some people from Tampa with him and also his nephew Sabu Chemmalakuzhy. Tomy, sabu and Anto were supposed to sit for the hunger strike. Soon his friends from Tampa and Sabu started putting much pressure on him to meet with the bishop. So he went and talked to the bishop. He also brought all the people from Tampa to talk to the bishop. Since there were only 4 chairs in the room, only Tomy, Anto, Sabu and one other person stayed in the room but everyone else stayed out of the room.
The bishop said he will cooperate with KCCNA to get extension for Kottayam. As soon as the Bishop said this, Sabu Chemmalkkuzhi declared that he is withdrawing from the strike (remember Sabu the Knanaya Gandhi, Mandela, and Mother Theresa, all in one, went on 8 hour hunger strike before for cheap popularity - do you think none of us went on without food for 8 or 12 or even 36 hours? Please don't get fooled and call it hunger strike). So Sabu found an excuse to get out. Some eye witnesses said he was very agitated when he thought the strike may continue. Tomy and Anto still wanted to do it. More pressure now come from Tampa and some people in Chicago.
Tomy and Anto brought this verbal commitment from the Bishop to the EC. EC, according to some EC members were very unhappy and they said bring it to Alanchery and get him to agree in writing all the commitments. In the EC meeting, Tomy said what is he supposed to do, he has no support from Tampa and Chicago has cheated.
I also heard that some people in Chicago and the people from Tampa also started drinking and celebration soon after fooling the community.
EC said they cannot force anyone to go on hunger strike. So our Knanaya Gandhi ( in truth the Knanaya Big Cheat) and the rest of the strikers found an opening to get out.
The real curse of Knanaya community are not Angadiath or Alanchery or Bharanikulangara but the these spineless leaders and cheap popularity seekers.
Go away man. We know the calibre of Myalu and Anthappan. WE saw and felt ourselves how poor they are in organizing a convention. Their performance at the final Banquet was the worst.

Hope that was not forgotten in any agreement. Jose Vadasserikunnel is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. The historical hunger strike called by KCCNA as a peaceful protest against the injustice done by the syro malabar hierarchy to the knanaya community was called off today after a successful meeting with the Arch Bishop of Kottoyam. Bp Mar Mathew Moolakatt assured the protesters in writing that he will work closely with KCCNA leaders to obtain the same statesco of the Kottayom Diocese for the knanaya parishes of North America.
Tomy Myalkarapurath (president) who led the delegation expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the meeting. Sabu Chemmalakuzhy chairman of Atlanta action Council who spearheaded the hunger strike said “This matter is not at rest and we will pursue all remedies in future until we achieve our goal.” All preparations for the successful and peaceful hunger strike was done and completed. Many knanaya people from different parts of the North America had arrived and was ready for the protest.

ReplyDeleteനൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി കേരളത്തിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ക്നാനായ പൂർവീകര്ർ അനുസരണയുള്ള ഭക്തരായി, ക്ഷോഭമടക്കി, പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടൊത്തുനിന്ന് ദൈവാനുഗ്രഹം വങ്ങിച്ചിട്ടേയുള്ളു. അങ്ങനെ മക്കീൽ മെത്രാനിൽകൂടി ലഭിച്ച ക്നാനായക്കാരുടെ ഒരു രൂപതയായി തീന്നു കോട്ടയം. ആ രൂപതയിൽ പള്ളികളോടൊട്ടിച്ചേർന്നുനിന്ന് നമ്മുടെ പൂർവീകര്ർ പ്രാർഥിച്ചു ജീവിച്ചു.
ഭൂരിപക്ഷം പേർക്കും ക്നാനായ എന്ന വികാരം ഒരു ലഹരി മാത്രമാണ്. അതിലുപരി ഒരു ആഘോഷവും. അതിനുമപ്പുറം അതിന്റെ പിന്നിലുള്ള മൂല്യമോ, യാതനയോ, മാനുഷീകതയോ, സഹിഷ്ണുതയോ അവർക്ക് പ്രശ്നമാകുന്നില്ല. ആരോ അടിച്ചേല്പ്പിച്ച സമുദായ ചിന്ത തലയിൽ കയറി പൈശചിക നൃത്തമാടുമ്പോൾ, പൂർവീകര്ർ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നൽകിയ പക്വതയും സഹിഷ്ണുതയും മതേതരത്വവും (Secularism) അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകുന്നു.

സെക്കുലറിസത്തെ മതത്തോട് മാത്രം ചേർത്തു നിർത്തി സംസാരിക്കാതെ അതിന്റെ രഷ്ട്രീയതയേയും രഷ്ട്രീയതക്ക് പിന്നിലുള്ള കാപട്യങ്ങളേയും കണക്കിലെടുക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. അധികാരം സ്വന്തം ചൊല്പ്പിടിയിൽ നിർത്താൻ കാല് വാരുന്നതും, സ്വന്തം സംഘടനക്കുള്ളിലെ അംഗങ്ങളെ ദുരാഗ്രഹികൾ പിൻപിൽനിന്ന് കുത്തുന്നതും നമുക്ക് പരിചിതമല്ലേ?

DeleteInfact Sabu gave Myalu a big time PANI. Sabu was the one who stood in forefront and declared to be calling off the strike even before Myalu could start thinking. Myalu was forced to negotiate with no one on his side ( Sabu called off the strike even before negotiations began). Sabu did a great revenge for all the harassment he received from Myalu while he was his employee in Chicago.
